One of the hardest things as a parent is to know that you baby is sick and there is nothing you can do for him. Sure there is the over the counter drugs and cuddles, but it still doesn't seem like enough.
We had a visitor come into our bed at 3am and he stayed with me until noon! I don't think he has ever done that. Needless to say, I did not get much sleep last night & I don't think that Daddy did either. Before he headed off to work, Daddy so sweetly made us toast for breakfast in bed and brought the TV into our bedroom so that we can watch the Tigger Movie in bed. (That's how he stayed till noon *wink) But, even that is a first for him. First time to sit through a full feature length film and not get up!!
Cabin fever sank in pretty quickly for him and he felt the need to go out to the living room and find comfort in his Legos!
Then, he decided to move on to his phone, but got very disappointed when he found out that Daddy was not in fact on the other end. :(
This only lasted about an hour before we got a little hungry and decided it was nap time. He went down at 2p and did not grace me with his presence again until 5p! Lets hope he gets just as good sleep tonight.
ps. there should be a rule that Mommys cannot be sick while her children are! Just my opinion..
